The DREAM Act: Opportunity for ALL Students
The DREAM Act would allow ALL Arkansas students who have completed at least three years of high school in the state to pay affordable in-state tuition rates at Arkansas colleges and universities. This would expand access for over 9,000 students.
- Higher education is a must for students who want to enter into a competitive job market; we should do everything we can to make costs for college affordable so that higher education is accessible to all students. College will help them secure a brighter future and build a stronger Arkansas for everyone.
AN INVESTMENT FOR ARKANSAS’ FUTURE
- Arkansas has already invested in these students’ through providing them with a high school education; we cannot afford to let that investment go to waste by denying them access to affordable higher education.
- The DREAM Act would expand opportunities for thousands of students at no cost to taxpayers. This is an investment that Arkansas can afford which will pay back huge dividends as these students pursue degrees that will help them contribute to our state’s economy and lay the foundation for Arkansas’ future.
